Description

Over the summer I decided to do a portrait of Ari's family.  Here we have Ari's father, Dr. Samuel Goldberg (roboticist); his mother Adina Damari Goldberg (music and singing teacher); just below Samuel we have Ari's older brother, Levi (he's 2 yrs older than Ari), and right next to Levi there's Ari holding his robot toy that his father gave him for his birthday. Last but not least here's Melodybot, who is one of Samuel's inventions for the family. 

LOL I know Goldberg sounds like your stereotypical Jewish name but Goldberg is a common surname in Israel especially since many Ashkenazic Jews immigrated to Israel after WWII. Even though my story is set in the future somewhere between 2280 or 2380 I can still imagine foreigners immigrating there just like in today's times. Anyways, Samuel is an Ashkenazic Jew from Germany who later immigrated to Tel-Aviv, Israel after finishing his studies at Humboldt University of Berlin and became a robotocist. On the other hand Adina is a Mizrahi Jew from Tel Aviv,Israel with roots from Yemen and Egypt.

Wow! Wonderful job! Meanwhile, was Adina based off of Ofra Haza? She looks a lot like her.
